Expansion marks the next chapter in NYBA’s grassroots basketball movement
Inside NYBA’s Expansion: National Growth Plans Move Forward with First Wave of New Markets

The National Youth Basketball Academy is preparing for its first wave of national expansion, with programming officially set to launch in January 2026. Nine states, Missouri, Ohio, North Carolina, Washington, D.C., California, New York, Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee, will tip off NYBA’s grassroots movement as part of the organization’s long-term vision to unite communities through basketball.

Registration for new state programs will open in early December 2025, giving families and players the opportunity to join NYBA’s developmental and competitive pathways.

State Directors have already been selected to lead each market and are currently undergoing the onboarding process to prepare for launch.

A Statement From NYBA National Director Brandoen Guyton
“Our team is excited about the expansion and satisfied with the leaders we’ve identified to build in their communities. Each individual shares our mission and vision, and they bring the kind of talent, commitment, and drive needed to create lasting impact through basketball. We’re excited to see this next chapter unfold as NYBA continues to grow nationally.”

The expansion reflects NYBA’s continued growth and commitment to providing developmental basketball opportunities across the country. Families interested in joining can visit nationalyouthba.com for updates and registration details.
