Grand Rapids, MI-Session 3 of the 2025 All-City Fall League featured four matchups that showcased growing chemistry, better pace, and improved execution across the board. Teams adjusted to the league’s physicality and pressure, resulting in a more balanced and competitive slate.
Game 1: Huskies 32, Midwest 27
Making their league debut, Midwest opened slowly before finding rhythm late. As they settled into the pace, they cut into the deficit and made a fourth-quarter push. The Huskies’ league experience showed down the stretch, controlling possessions and closing with composure.
Game 2: All In Sports 2031 41, Grit 27
All In Sports looked in sync from the tip, dictating tempo and finding early offense in transition. Grit, featuring a new roster still building chemistry, showed flashes but struggled to sustain runs. All In’s ability to maintain spacing and convert second-chance looks carried them to the win.
Game 3: West Michigan Premier 60, Work 22
Work created quality looks early but couldn’t convert, while West Michigan Premier imposed its identity in transition. Their ball movement and finishing efficiency separated them quickly. Premier’s depth, rebounding control, and ability to play through contact highlighted why they’ve been dominant through the first three sessions.
Game 4: Boom 36, Next Up 32
Arguably the best game of the fall so far, Boom and Next Up traded leads throughout. The matchup was decided in the fourth quarter by effort plays, diving for loose balls, securing 50-50 rebounds, and hitting free throws under pressure.
Performer Notes
Drake Hawkins (All In Sports 2031)
Displayed impressive versatility, guarding multiple positions on the perimeter while protecting the rim. Offensively, Hawkins attacked mismatches with control, using change-of-pace drives and finishing through contact. His improved comfort and confidence were evident throughout the game.
Zyiere Johnson (West Michigan Premier)
A physical two-way presence, Zyiere set the tone with toughness and relentless energy. He dominated the glass, defended the opposing team’s top perimeter threat, and generated extra possessions with hustle plays. His strength and motor gave Premier a clear interior edge.
Dasahn Baker (Boom)
One of the most intriguing prospects in the 2030 class, Baker flashed elite length and rim-protection instincts. He altered shots, defended switches, and displayed touch on two-foot finishes inside. His blend of size, coordination, and defensive mobility makes him a high-upside talent moving forward.
