NYBA 2K travel league follows a philosophy that is dedicated to offering youth a platform that nurtures and advances the development of all participants. Our league model commitment is to creating pathways to higher levels of competition.

*The 2K League is currently only held in Michigan.
WHAT TO KNOW
Our Mission
Is to create a clear pathway for player and skill development, team work, preparing for higher level of competition, positive experiences, and the promotion of essential life skills and values, and health.
Grade Divisions
We structure our developmental league into age divisions 10U, 11U, 12U.
Structured Season
We offer a well-organized season featuring 30-36 weekly practices and a minimum of 10 games and maximum of 14 games. This structure allows players to become comfortable with the rhythm of basketball.
Location
All games will be played in Lansing, Michigan, which serves as a centralized location for most communities in Michigan.
Player Growth
We prioritize player development as the focus of the YDL. This includes focusing on developing fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, and having an overall positive experience playing basketball.
Informational Sessions
We host informative sessions and workshops for parents and players. These sessions shed light on physical literacy and the basketball ecosystem.
Affordability
To ensure accessibility for a wide range of families, we are committed to keeping the costs associated with participating in the developmental league reasonable and affordable.
Value
Our pricing for participation and YDL membership significantly reduces the overall expenses associated with travel basketball. Research indicates that parents spend an average of $4,200 per child per season. YDL strives to offer parents and players a solution that includes travel basketball, player development, positive experiences, healthy competition, exposure to other communities, affordability, and convenience—all in one.
Quality Coaching
Each program will have a head coach that will lead their programs. The YDL will provide resources for coaches to assist with the development of the player, create a positive learning environment, and emphasize team.
